 What is Holistic Circus Therapy’s cancellation policy?

Reservations for professional development training are non-refundable. Fully paid reservations may be transferred to a friend or colleague or kept as a credit to be used for future online or in-person training of equal value without limits. In the case of cancellation by the provider for personal circumstances, a full refund will be provided within 30 days of cancellation. In the case of natural or political disasters, courses will be postponed for another time or location and a credit will be issued to be used for that course or a future online or in-person training of equal value without limits.

What is Holistic Circus Therapy’s complaint resolution process?

To submit complaints, please fill out this form. Complaints will be considered and resolved through discussion among HCT advisory board affiliates and persons. Issuing complaints will be responded to within 7 business days.

How does HCT handle financial and non-financial disclosures?

The Holistic Circus Therapy Approved Provider Administrator will ensure in advance of activities, that the provider and instructor disclose financial and non-financial interest in any product, instrument, device, service, or material discussed during the activity and the source of any compensation related to the presentation. All speakers will be informed of the policy by filling out the Financial and Non-Financial Disclosure Statement. 

AOTA continuing education units (CEUs) are only awarded for relevant PD activities offered to occupational therapy practitioners that primarily focus on evidence-informed and occupation-centered practice and not product or service promotion. All speakers are aware of our policy and must disclose potential conflicts of interest before commencing training facilitation activities.

What is Holistic Circus Therapy's approach to inclusivity and non-discrimination?

Holistic Circus Therapy (HCT) guarantees that all instructors, vow to not discriminate against learners based on gender, age, socioeconomic or ethnic background, sexual orientation, or disability. By following AOTA's APP guidelines section 10, we have ensured that our instructional environments enhance the learning process of learners with learning differences and special needs. This includes but is not limited to providing current and accessible reference materials, instructional aids, and equipment appropriate for the PD activity to support the intended learning outcomes.

HCT is committed to following the AOTA APP guidelines and complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act for distance learning to create a fully accessible educational environment for all learners. Through the pre-course needs assessment email, an opportunity is provided for learners to identify special needs in advance of the activity. PD activities are designed in consideration of learner needs concerning physical and sensory impairments (e.g., hearing, speech, vision) and emotional and learning disabilities. PD activities will include accessible technology as needed.
